“This trip has made me a better person in so many ways”
I’m certain that everyone who goes on a Journey for a Lifetime says it’s fantastic because it is true.
I had a lot of new experiences on this trip that made me realize all of the things we take for granted and how important they actually are. Family for one, how much they mean and how much easer everything is when you have got someone who loves you to stick it out with you no matter what.
Because of this, to take this trip with kids older than myself and whom I did not know, it allowed me to make friends, learn more and I believe have more fun than had I gone with people my own age. Plus we got to keep the Yorkie puppy for one very fun night and then deliver him the next day to a girl with cancer, which was fantastic.
While all of the children we visited were incredible and very special, a few of them stood out in particular. Nikola, three years old, with cancer, was so happy with her gifts, she wouldn’t stop smiling. Her smile was the most beautiful, radiant one I have ever seen and it made me happy just looking at her.
Garry told us at the beginning that the trips would make us different people. I maintained that I didn’t want to be different just better and I think I have accomplished this. The trip has made me a better person in so many ways and will hopefully continue to do so. Thank you so much for the opportunity. Love.
