“It truly is a journey I’ll never forget in my life – a unique experience”
I don’t think that I can fully describe this trip. I had such a great time and it truly is a journey I will never forget in my life. The joy and smiles on the kid’s faces when they got their presents are images I will not soon forget. The cultural experience is also a great one. I really enjoyed the food and all the group did as well.
The one thing I did not expect to get to me was the pride and joy the parents had for their kids. You could see this joy and strength when they watched their kids open their presents. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that look given to just an ordinary child who did well in school. It was a look of true genuine love and sadness for I think it’s something they will remember for the rest of their lives as well.
The children that really got to me were those who received gifts that you know they would only dreamed of before. It really is a shame that the kids I know would have just taken those things for granted back home. I do think all the children had their own unique quality about them, such as Peter, who just loved his sand box.
Thank you so much for organizing this trip and letting us be able to experience all the things we did.
