“You will truly never know the changes in my mind and heart this trip has given me”
I would like to say thank you for giving me the chance to give back. You opened my eyes to a new world.
I cannot put in words how happy I am with myself for not only knowing I helped so many kids, but I also helped my family and myself. It gave me a chance to bond with my brother, with something we shared and will never forget. This trip helped me open by eyes to show me I was meant to help others and I can do so much more than what I would ever imagined.
You made a dream come into a reality. I don’t think I would have ever gone to the Concentration Camps on my own although it has always been a dream of mine, now I can say I have done it, leaving me now thinking of new things I would like to do with my life.
When I thought about sick kids I thought it would be so sad, but although I had a sadness in my heart for them I was overjoyed to know I was the one to help put a smile on their faces, when maybe they didn’t want to smile and maybe I will always have a place in their hearts as they have in mine. They made me see how important family is. When they will do anything to make you happy, families in debt giving their kids a few more months to live… I look at my family and see how hard we all need to fight to keep us together.
I could go on for days about this but you will truly never know the changes in my mind and heart this trip has given me. I just want you all to know you helped me make this happen for me. One chapter of my life is full and another has just opened ready to be filled. You do amazing things for these sick kids and teens like me.
