“The kids were so happy we came and made us feel like rock stars”
I thought this trip was absolutely amazing. All the people we met from CFKI and the Foundation were so nice, and the families we met along the way were so welcoming. Poland is so much more than I thought it would be.
Everyone definitely needs to travel there in their lifetime. The people, the food, the architecture, just everything was great. Every house we went to greeted us very kindly with cake and tea. Seeing kids so happy about simple gifts like computers and TVs that we take for granted is so amazing. It feels so good to see someone get so much joy out of the gifts. All the kids we visited were different and we had a different way of connecting with each of them. The children’s hospitals were incredible. The kids were so happy we came and made us feel like rock stars. It was heartwarming to see so many people happy and smiling… as cheesy as that sounds it’s true…
There’s no better feeling than a child or teenager being so happy from something so simple like chocolates. I definitely want to travel back to Poland again or at least to Europe for sure. And I want to help terminally-ill children again; this was definitely an amazing trip I will never forget.
